Accessibility Statement

Apex Locksmith wants everyone — including people with disabilities — to be able to find our number, understand our services and get help quickly. We're committed to making this website accessible, and we treat it as ongoing work rather than a one-time fix.
1. Conformance Target
We aim for this website to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA, the widely-used standard for web accessibility. We aren't claiming full conformance today — we're describing what we've done and what we're continuing to improve.
2. Measures We've Taken
- Semantic HTML landmarks and heading structure throughout the site
- Descriptive alt text on meaningful images
- Keyboard-operable navigation, menu and forms, with visible focus outlines
- Labels on all form fields, not just placeholder text
- Color choices checked for reasonable contrast against their backgrounds
- Text that reflows and resizes on phones, tablets and desktops rather than relying on a fixed layout
- Respect for "reduce motion" system settings — decorative animation is minimized when a visitor has that preference turned on
3. Accessibility Toolbar
Every page on this site includes an accessibility button in the bottom corner (the icon that looks like a person in a circle). It opens a small panel where you can:
- Increase text size in two steps
- Turn on a higher-contrast color mode
- Reduce motion, overriding your system setting if needed
- Force underlines on links, so they don't rely on color alone
Your choices are saved on this device and applied automatically next time you visit. This toolbar adjusts the page for you — it's a convenience on top of the accessibility work described above, not a substitute for it.
4. Known Limitations
Our embedded service-area map (built on Leaflet / OpenStreetMap) has accessibility limitations common to interactive maps. If a map isn't usable with your setup, our full list of service areas is also available as plain text on the same page, and our phone line is always the fastest path to a real person.
